While many still fear President Trump will sign an executive order that would permit religious-based discrimination, a new study reported by Salon reveals that the majority of Americans oppose denying services to LGBT people in the name of religion.

In fact, sixty-one percent of respondents to the Public Religion Research Institute say they are against giving faith-based groups or private institutions the religious exemption to simply refuse service to an LGBT person.

Although the threats that are being placed on the LGBT community by this new administration are very real and extremely frightening, knowing that the majority of America is on the right side of history gives a ray of sunshine in the midst of this storm.
